After many early mornings and late nights for Eyoälha Baker, she is finally able to experience her dream in real life. Although some thank-yous and a final coat of varnish have been added, these pictures show the completion of the photomural as of August 1st, 2014.
Despite a few setbacks, Eyoälha managed to install the mural in only a few days. This is due in part to some of the local residents who encouraged her and helped to gather supplies. This already shows what kind of an impact street art can make in a community, and Murality is proud to host it.
The varnish brightened up the wall even more, so now is the time to see it! Join hundreds of tourists by checking out the Jump for Joy photomural at 161 East Pender, and stay tuned for details about the opening event.
