Rainworks Makes People Look Forward to Rainy Days

Sunshine has abandoned Vancouver again for the next few days, but don’t let that put a damper on your spirits just yet. Murality has come across a great form of art that will make you smile even on a moody rainy day in Raincouver.

Rainworks is a form of street art that only appears when it is wet. It is no surprise that it was started in Seattle, a city which is infamous for its endless rain other than Vancouver. Since they can’t change the weather, local artists, Peregrine Church and Xack Fischer decided to change people’s mood.

We make rainworks to give people a reason to look forward to rainy days! It’s going to rain anyway. Why not do something fun with it?

Rainworks surprises us with its creativity and positive attitude. And the material they use is “non-toxic, environmentally free and biodegradable,” according to their website [1].

While Rainworks can only be found in Seattle for now, we hope this form of art blossoms in Vancouver as well. So when we feel a little blue about living in Raincouver, we have something to cheer ourselves up.
