Thomas Ovens

A student of Digital Design and Development, Thomas specializes in digital journalism, project management, content development, visual effects and video production in addition to skills in conventional graphic design and web programming.

He has been involved with the arts since an early age, playing music since the age of 8, as well as being an aspiring sketch and digital artist through such platforms as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Overall he strives for a detailed, practical, well rounded approach to all projects and work he puts forth and sees any daunting task list as a healthy challenge.

Victoria Gies

Victoria is currently studying Sociology and Communications at McGill University. Therefore, she is familiar with the concern of poverty in areas like Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and she is experienced in how to reach a receptive audience in order to make a positive difference.

Victoria has experience working for an online publication, for which she has progressed her writing, organization, and marketing skills. These qualities will be an asset to Murality in an effort to reach its goals by promoting international artists and their work.

Nadia Mthombeni

With a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, she is currently completing a post-grad certificate in Sustainability Management.  Her passions include creative public engagement, sustainability and placemaking.

Nadia has social management experience with Toronto-based non-profits. She looks forward to new connections with amazing people and organizations in Vancouver.

Nina Wang

A researcher and storyteller, Nina is currently studying Cognitive Science at McGill University. When she isn’t in the office or at the lab, she’s exploring the city with a camera and notebook in hand or running alongside False Creek. She is passionate about using the arts as a way to build communities and foster connections.
